IMPORTANT DATES!!! BENEFITS FAIR AND OPEN ENROLLMENT

**The 2017-18 Benefits Fair will be from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, Thursday, August 31, 2017, in the Washougal High School Commons Area.

**Open Enrollment for making any benefit changes is August 16 through 4:30 PM on September 15, 2017.

The new 2017-18 Benefit Guide with the new rates is now available to review.

If you have any questions regarding your benefits, a good place to get them answered is at the Benefits Fair by the providers themselves. 

PERSONAL LEAVE CASH OUT

We're winding down the 2016-17 school year and now is the time when you may have the opportunity to cash out your unused personal leave balance.  Please use Skyward Employee Access to check your personal leave balance.

Your bargaining agreement dictates how many days you may cash out or roll.  Please click on this link to the HR Blog Find a Form page to access the form for your union group. The form will tell you what restrictions you may have based on your union agreement.

AESOP TIPS & TRICKS!

PREFERRED AND EXCLUDED SUB LISTS

You have the option to create preferred sub lists in AESOP to help insure that the right sub is given advance notice of an absence you may be submitting.  

Or, maybe there is a substitute that is not a good fit for your classroom. You can also create an Excluded Substitute List to insure that the substitutes you choose to exclude are not able to see or pick up a position for you.

CREATING A PREFERRED SUBSTITUTE LIST

ABSENCE FEEDBACK

Along with your preferred sub list, another great tool is Absence Feedback!  You can leave feedback for how a substitute performed in your classroom by answering a few short questions and giving them a "starred" rating.  This feature helps you and your administrator track those subs that did an outstanding job and those that did not work out as well.  Your administrator can view your feedback but the substitute will not be able to see it. ANNUAL SICK LEAVE BUY BACK OPPORTUNITY

It's that time of year again when you may have the opportunity to buy back your previous year's unused sick leave.  To be eligible to buy back your unused sick leave you must have a balance of at least 60 days sick leave as of the end of the year.  Here are some Sick Leave Buy Back Commonly Asked Questions that may be helpful in making your decision to buy back or not.  If you are eligible, and choose to take advantage of this benefit, please return the 2016 Annual Sick Leave Buyback Application to Payroll  by January 31, 2017. This policy is in accordance with WAC 392-136-015.
