Annual Sick Leave Buy Back Opportunity
It's that time of year again when you may have the opportunity to buy back your 2015 unused sick leave. To be eligible to buy back your unused sick leave you must have a balance of at least 60 days sick leave as of the end of 2015. Here are some SLBB Commonly Asked Questions that may be helpful in making your decision to buy back or not. If you are eligible, and choose to take advantage of this benefit, please return the SLBB Application Form to Payroll by January 31, 2016. This policy is in accordance with WAC 392-136-015.
You May Receive a Form 1095C in January
Your
payroll
department has been working hard to get ready for new reporting
requirements to stay in compliance with the Affordable Care Act. Please
be aware
that you may receive a form 1095C in January, which reports your medical
benefit status
with the district. This new form will be in addition to your normal W2
form.
You may also receive a form 1095B from your medical insurance provider.
Both these forms are to be used when filing your 2015 IRS taxes.
Please
consult your tax adviser if you have questions on how to report these
forms.
